HOME/AWAY
MODE
If
the
person
is
going
to
be
away
from
home
for
more
than
one
day
you
must
select
AWAY
MODE
to
prevent
false
“not
in
bed”
alarms.
When
the
sensor
controller
is
in
its
normal
operating
mode
the
S
key
is
used
to
toggle
between
HOME/AWAY
mode.
Press
this
key
once
and
the
display
will
show;
The unit is now in
AWAY mode
After
about
10
seconds
the
display
will
blank
‐
during
this
mode
no
alarm
calls
will
be
sent.
REMEMBER:
when
the
person
returns
home
the
sensor
controller
must
be
put
back
into
the
HOME
mode.
Press
the
HOME/AWAY
key
once
and
the
display
will
show;
The unit is now in
HOME mode
After
about
10
seconds
the
display
will
blank
‐
normal
monitoring
is
now
resumed.
18.
CARER
CALL
FACILITY
The
Carer
Call
facility
can
be
used
to
raise
an
instant
alarm
call
via
the
SayPhone
or
Advent
xt
system.
When
the
sensor
controller
is
in
its
normal
operating
mode
the
T
key
is
used
to
send
a
CARER
CALL
.
Press
this
key
once
and
the
display
will
show;
Unit is sending a
CARER CALL alarm
…… PLEASE WAIT……
After
about
10
seconds
the
display
will
blank.
You
will
hear
reassurance
tones
from
the
SayPhone
or
Advent
xt
intercom
when
the
call
is
being
made.
The
Control
Centre
or
Local
Manager
will
speak
to
you
after
a
short
delay.

PEAR
PUSH
OPTION
The
Pear
Push
switch
option
must
be
enabled
in
the
I/O
Setup
–
see
section
10.
The
Pear
Push
has
2
functions;
1.
Press
on/off
to
toggle
a
lamp
on/off
(RadiPlugs,
Gadgets
or
X10
required).
2.
Press
and
hold
for
more
than
3
seconds
to
activate
an
alarm
call.
if
RadiPlugs,
Gadgets
or
X10
is
fitted
then
the
lamp
will
also
come
on
with
an
alarm
call.
