IMPORTANT! The fasteners must completely fill
the hole drilled into the insulation. (See Figure 3)
Use the fasteners after holes are drilled. Failure
to do so will void the fire rating.
2. Use these holes to fasten the safe to the floor. Drill the
appropriate diameter and depth of pilot holes into
the floor depending on the type of hardware being
used and the type of floor surface. (See Figure 4)
3. Secure the safe with fasteners and replace
carpeting.
BACKUP KEY
A backup key has been provided in case security code
is forgotten or lost. To open the safe using the backup
key, follow the steps below:
1. Remove the cover by pressing the tab and turning
the cover. The lock can hang by the connecting
cable while unlocking the safe. (See Figure 5)
2. Insert the key in the key hole and turn clockwise 1/4
turn (until stopped) in order to unlock the safe. Rotate
the handle and open the door.
3. Keep the door open until user has entered a new
security code. Before entering new code, remove
the key and turn the cover back in place.
4. Enter new security code following the instructions on
page 2.
