OVERVIEW OF CONTROLS CONTINUED

RELEASING THE TRANSPORTATION LOCK

1.  Release the red transportation lock on the 

subplatform of the balance by turning the red 

pointer 90° counterclockwise. (See Figure 1)

INSTALLING THE PLATFORM 

1.  Balances with a rectangular platform are placed 

into the subplatform as shown and rotated 

counterclockwise until locked. (See Figure 2)

2.  Round platforms are placed straight down on 

subplatform. (See Figure 3)

•  Verify that local AC power supply is within input 

voltage range printed on AC adapter’s data label.

•  Only connect AC adapter to a compatible 

grounded electrical outlet.

•  Do not position scale where difficult to disconnect 

AC adapter from power receptacle.

•  Make sure that power cord does not pose a 

potential obstacle or tripping hazard.

•  For indoor use. Operate only in dry locations.

•  Operate only under ambient conditions specified in 

these instructions.

•  Do not operate in hazardous or unstable 

environments.

•  Do not drop weight onto pan.
•  Only use approved accessories and peripherals.
•  Disconnect power before cleaning or servicing.
