Customer Call Guide
The following guide has been developed to help answer frequently asked questions. It can be used by persons scheduling service calls. These are
things the customer should consider before scheduling a service call.

Suggested Remedy
The unit is not cold enough
Door not closed (excessive frost,
sweating or icing may be observed)
Manually defrost your unit and ensure that there are no
obstructions interfering with proper door closure.
Control set too warm
Refer to the General Information section of this manual
for information on how to adjust the control colder
(allow 24 hours for temperature stabilization).
Dirty condenser
Refer to the maintenance section of this service manual
for condenser cleaning instructions.
Installation problem
Airflow through the grill (below the door in front)
cannot be obstructed. Also, the unit cannot be installed
behind a closed door or in a closet.
The unit is too cold or freezing product
Control set too cold
Refer to the General Information section of this manual
for information on how to adjust the control warmer
(allow 24 hours for temperature stabilization).
Product not properly loaded in unit
Ensure product is not pushed up against the back wall
or rear cooling plate of the unit when loading.
Frost or ice accumulating within the unit Heavy usage or high ambient
If the frost is persistent (most will clear up when the
ambient resumes normal), manually defrost the unit.
Door not closed (excessive frost,
sweating or icing may be observed)
Manually defrost unit and ensure that there are no
obstructions holding the door open.
Normal
Some U-Line units are manual defrost and frost buildup
is normal. Refer to the General Information section of
this manual for information regarding defrosting your
unit.
