In case of improper handling or current fluctuations measured values can be lost and/or be
displayed wrongly.
How to do the measurement:
1. The correct posture for the body fat measurement
Stand on the unit in an upright position and do no bend your elbows and knees too strongly.
Do not move during the measurement and hold your arms so, that these are pointing straight
forward in the height of your heart while your hands are grasping the handpulse-sensors.
This is to ensure, that the current can flow in an optimal way through your body.
2. Start the measurement:
a) Computer needs to be in stop-mode (means no exercise is currently done).
b) Press the button „BODY FAT“ to start the measurement.
c) During measuring, hold both hands firmly on the handgrip. The measurement will take
several seconds, while “-“, “- -“, “- - -“ etc. is displayed.
3. The result:
After the measurement has ended the computer will display the results:
BMI and body fat percentage will be shown in turn every 3 seconds.
a) The Body-Mass-Index (BMI): This index can be calculated by dividing your weight in kg by your
double height in meters, i.e. a person with 60 kg weight and a height of 160 cm does have a
BMI of60 / 1,6 x 1,6 = 23,4.
The „ideal“ BMI depends on your age:
AGE BMI
< 24 years :
19-24
25-34 years :
20-25
35-44 years :
21-26
45-54 years :
22-27
55-64 years :
23-28
> 64 years :
24-29
If you have a lower BMI, you may weigh too less and if you have a higher BMI, your weight is
too high.
