Check the oil level in the gear box on a monthly basis. Change the oil yearly.

It is very important to maintain the proper oil
level. To check the oil level, remove the vent
plug and look into the gear box. Turn the “star”
head assembly until the inspection hole in the
gear can be seen.
Set the machine so the head is sitting flat.

The oil level should go up to but not past the
middle of the gear.
If oil needs to be added, use quality 80 - 90

use a toothpick as a dipstick. The oil level
should measure 3/8” (9.5 mm) deep.
