Port Forwarding
The
Advanced > Port Forwarding
page let’s you set up port forwarding rules.
Port forwarding maps external IP addresses and ports to internal IP addresses
and ports. The specified port is then constantly available for the specific
application. Online gaming applications will frequently require you to set up
port forwarding rules.

Before Setting Up Port Forwarding
Try the following options before you assign forwarding rules:
1.
Enable Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). This may resolve the issue you
have without setting up forwarding rules. To enable UPnP refer to
.
Enable UPnP and then test your application to see if
it is functioning properly. If not, continue to the reserved IP address
option.
2.
Assign a reserved IP Address (also called a static lease) to the client/host
to which you are setting up forwarding. This way, the IP address does not
change and disrupt your forwarding rules. For example, if you are hosting
a Web server in your internal network, and you wish to setup a forwarding
rule for it, assign a static IP lease to that system to keep the IP from
renewing and disrupting the forwarding rule. See
