IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
RULES FOR SAFE OPERATION
Please read and understand all instructions before using this fan.
When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk
of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons or property, including the following:
1. Do not use this fan outdoors or where there are bodies of water such as the bathroom or
laundry room.
2. DO NOT use fan in window. Rain may create an electrical hazard. Do not leave the fan
operating adjacent to an area where water has collect to avoid the potential of electrical
hazard.
3. Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable fumes.
4. Do not place fan or any parts near an open flame, cooking or other heating appliance.
5. Do not use fan near curtains, plants, window treatment, or where other objects can become
caught in the blades.
6. The fan must operate standing upright.
7. Be sure the fan is on a stable, even surface when operating to avoid overturning.
8. Do not immerse unit, plug or cord in water or spray with liquids.
9. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance malfunctions
or has been dropped or damaged in any manner, contact a qualified electrician should this
happen. NOTE: Repairs made by unqualified electricians will void this product’s warranty.
10. Never insert foreign objects such as fingers, pencils, etc. through the grille when fan is
running.
11. Do not leave the appliance running or operable in a place where young children or animals
could have access to it without supervision. Do not allow cord to hang down from table or
counter.
12. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like.
Arrange cord away from traffic area where it will not be tripped over.
13. Disconnect fan from electrical outlet when moving from one location to another, when
removing grilles or for cleaning.
14. To disconnect, grip plug and pull from wall outlet. Never yank on cord.
15. Use this fan only as it is described in this manual.
16. NEVER connect the fan to any power sources other than a 120 volt alternating current
polarized outlet.
17. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or
rechargeable (nickel cadmium) batteries.
18. Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak.
NOTE
: There are no serviceable parts in this unit. Do not attempt to disassemble.
WARNING
: Never use this fan with any solid-state speed control device. Doing so will create fire
and/or shock hazards.
