Transfer
Ribbons
UBI offers three types of thermal transfer ribbon:
• General Purpose (GP) is a wax-based ribbon suited
for course non-coated paper like vellum or bond
paper.
• High Performance (HP) is a two-layer wax and resin
(hybrid) ribbon optimized for matt coated and glossy
papers. Recommended for ladder-style bar codes.
• High Resistance (HR) is a resin-based ribbon, which
has a good resistance against mechanical wear, high
temperatures and chemicals. It is intended for
demanding applications and the use of synthetic
receiving face materials.
