UniFi Controller Software Configuration
It is recommended to provision all access points on a live, internet-enabled network before connecting to a
local-network-only Squirrel NIC / IP range. When connected to the internet, the AP applies updates that
permit the adoption of devices to the new version of the UniFi Controller.
1. Modify the PC or Squirrel server's IP address.
l
On a dual-NIC Squirrel Server, plug into the NIC 2/Office Port. If a live, internet-enabled
network is available, allow the DHCP server to assign the server an IP address.
l
If no internet enabled network is available, assign one NIC on the PC (NIC2 on the Squirrel
server) a temporary IP address in the 192.168.1.0/24 subnet. e.g. 192.168.1.234).
a. Navigate to
Control Panel > Network And Internet > Network and Sharing Center
