9. MAINTENANCE
9.1 Routine checks
9.2 Batteries
In addition to checking correct execution of the command on the motors, also check that:
•
before the command, the control unit is on standby (green LED on fixed, the others off);
•
after the command, the control unit indicates the emergency status via the red LED on fixed, and the green LED off;
•
BEFORE, AFTER and DURING the emergency command, the control unit does not indicate any fault or anomaly (yellow LED off
all the time)
Exit the emergency status using the RESET. For about half a second all three LEDs will switch on, after which the control unit goes
back on standby.
Repeat the test without the mains power supply. In this case, for the entire period the mains are off, the yellow LED must indicate
the power supply anomaly by means of a single quick flash.
We recommend doing a functioning check on the control unit at least every 6 months, by sending an emergency command from
the each push-button panel installed.
We recommend replacing the batteries every 3 years with equivalent batteries (2 lead batteries: 12 Volt, 4,5 Ah or 2 lead
batteries: 12 Volt, 4 Ah for each control unit. UCS set available, Code 40911V).
THE BATTERIES MUST BE REMOVED FROM THE CONTROL UNIT BEFORE IT IS SCRAPPED, AND DISPOSED OF IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CURRENT NORMS.
The control unit comes with a set of n° 2 lead batteries charged and with the positive (+) pole cable disconnected and isolated. If
the batteries are not supplied by UCS, follow the connection diagram on page 49.
These batteries guarantee emergency opening of the windows even after a prolonged blackout (up to a maximum of 72 hours).
We recommend replacing the batteries every 3 years with equivalent batteries (UCS set available, code 40911V).
