The nature of the cervical mucus at the neck of the uterus changes
shortly prior to ovulation. When this change is detected (stretchabil-
ity), the corresponding day must be marked in the current cycle.
Change in cervical mucus
A certain amount of experience is required to assess the cervical mu-
cus. NFP advice centres (NFP = Natural Family Planning) can offer the
necessary help in this respect. We will be pleased to send you a list of
selected advice centres on request.
Please use the test sticks only if you see 2 babies in the display (Fig.
no. 15). cyclotest® Ovulation Test is available from all good pharma-
cists (item no. 9030, PZN 4608336).
Increase in LH concentration in the urine
An increased concentration of the ovulation hormone LH in the urine
indicates that ovulation is imminent. This can be verified using cy
-
clotest® Ovulation Test. If the test proves positive, enter the result on
the corresponding day in the current cycle information.
Note:
The input stands either for cervical mucus or for LH concentra-
tion and must be made on the same day of the event.
Press and hold down the small round Start button. “01” appears.
1.
Straight afterwards press the large round Measurement button un-
til “CY” appears on the right in the display.
2.
Please note:
If you hold down the Start button for too long, a new
cycle will be started.
Now release the Start button and keep the Measurement button
pressed until the input is confirmed with a beep.

Your display now looks like this.
Input of ovulation symptoms
The temperature rise is monitored and evaluated by cyclotest® 2 plus.
The unit is able to store further symptoms which you input. This com-
bined evaluation of temperature and symptom information is known
as the symptothermal method.
The symptoms mentioned – nature of cervical mucus and increase in
LH concentration – point to a fertilisable egg cell. Your fertilisability
ends when the temperature high stabilises after ovulation.
