8.5 NAS Function (SAMBA)
This Player can be used as a NAS (Network-Attached Storage) Server if connected to the
home network via either Ethernet or WLAN. This feature allows you to use the hard disk drive
on the Player as an additional storage area for your home network, or to share files from your
Player and home computer.
In order to use this function, please make sure that you have enabled BitTorrent and the
SAMBA option under
Setup -> Network
(see Section 3.3). After the configuration is done, you
can access the hard disk drive installed on the Player by typing the
IP Address
in the
Run
window (click
Run
in the start menu), or in the
Address Bar
of Internet Explorer on your PC
(for example, if the IP address of the Player is 192.168.0.9, please type:
\\192.168.0.9
) and
click
OK
, or press the
ENTER
button on the keyboard).
For Windows Vista or Windows 7, please type the
IP Address
(for example

the search bar and then press

on the keyboard.
You can view, edit, or delete the files stored on the hard disk drive installed on the Player. You
can also playback and copy files over the network between your PC and the Player.
