Pre-selecting the Cutting Depth
► The cutting depth may only be pre-selected
when the machine is switched off.
1.Adjust the set screw (8) to the desired
cutting depth.
The cutting depth can be adjusted from
0 - 35 mm
2.Check the exit depth of the cutting blade with
a folding rule.
Starting Operation
► Observe correct mains voltage! The voltage of
the power source must match the voltage
specified on the type plate of the machine.
Power tools marked with 230 V can also be
operated with 220 V.
► Before starting the machine, check if the cutting
unit has engaged in the upper position.
Otherwise the diamond cutting blades can touch
the workpiece, resulting in possible loss of
control over the power tool when switching on.
- Switching On
The machine is switched on by pushing the switch
(7) forward. The switch locks automatically
and the machine remains switched on. By
pushing down on the motor, the cutting blade
penetrates into the screed.
- Switching Off
By pressing at the back end of the switch (7),
it is unlocks.
The machine switches off.
► Check the diamond cutting blades before use.
The diamond cutting blade(s) must be mounted
properly and must be able to rotate freely. Carry
out a test run for at least 60 seconds without
any load. Do not use diamond cutting blades
that are damaged, out-of-balance, or vibrate.
Damaged diamond cutting blades can rupture and
lead to injuries.
Cutting process
1.Connect the vacuum cleaner at the port.
2.Position the machine transversely to the crack
in the floor.
3.In the process, make sure that the mark (2) lines
up with the crack.
Then the cutting blade is positioned correctly
on the crack.
Working Advice
► Do not strain the machine so heavily that it
comes to a standstill.
► The machine may only be used for dry cutting.
– Adjust the cutting depth, see section “Pre-selecting
the Cutting Depth”.
– Guide the machine with both handles, applying
moderate feed, suited to the material being worked.
– The machine must always work in an upward
grinding motion. Otherwise, the danger exists
of it being pushed uncontrolled out of the cut.
– After finishing the working procedure, swivel the
cutting unit out of the slot with the machine still
running, until the cutting unit engages in the
uppermost position.
– Switch the power tool off.
Do not brake coasting diamond cutting blades by
applying pressure to the side.
► Diamond cutting blades become very hot during
operation; do not touch them until they have
cooled down.
► Curved cuts are not possible, as the diamond
cutting blades could jam in the material.
When cutting especially hard material, e. g., concrete
with high pebble content, the diamond cutting blade
can overheat and become damaged as a result.
This is clearly indicated by circular sparking, rotating
with the diamond cutting blade.
In this case, discontinue the cutting process and allow
the diamond cutting blade to cool by running the
machine for a short time at maximum speed with no
load.
Noticeable decreasing work progress and circular
sparking are indications of a diamond cutting blade
that has become dull. Briefly cutting into abrasive
material (e. g. lime-sand brick) can resharpen the disc
again.
