13.4 Attaching telescopic full length side rails to the bed
This User Guide is for the installation of the full length extending side rails; these side rails have
been specifically designed for the Cura II, Cura II Supreme and Cura Community Bed and should
not be attached to any other bed. The full length side rails are supplied in pairs. The bed side
rails can be secured when the bed is extended or unextended.
Follow steps 1 to 10 from section 13.3 then follow the steps below:
1. Undo the green hand screw at the bottom of each fixing channel (4 in total)
2. Ensure the end of fixing wire is secured into the hole shown on the image below
3. Slide the plastic side rail inserts into the inner part of the sliding bar.

4. Pull up the side rails until the hand rail clicks and secure by tightening the green hand
screws.
5. Once all full length side rails have been attached ensure you test the side rails operate
correctly.
6. Ensure that the distance from the top of the uncompressed mattress and the top
of the side rail is at least 220mm.
Operating the telescopic full length side rails
1. Raise the side rail until each end clips into place.
2. Operate the clip on the side of the sliding bar bracket to lower the side rail. The side rail
may need to be raised slightly to operate the clip.
