SECTION 5:  TRANSMITTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS 

 

Recommended Battery: +12V GP23A 

 

1.  Remove the screw from the back of the transmitter. 

2.  Remove front cover, remove old battery carefully. 

3.  Replace with fresh new battery and close front cover. 

4.  Press any button, check for light flash from LED. (If no LED flash, change polarity of battery) 

NOTE: normal battery life is approximately two years, but varies depending on usage. For optimum performance and RF 

range, replace the battery at least once a year. 

 

 

 

 

SECTION 6:  AST LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

 

All  AST  (Applicated  Security  Technologies)    products  have  a  limited  lifetime  warranty  from  the  date  of  purchase.  We 

guarantee all products to be free from any manufacturing or material defects to the original owner for the lifetime of the 

vehicle in which it was installed according to the Terms and Conditions here shown: 

 

This warranty is non-transferable and is valid only if; 

1.  

The original installation was completed by one of our Authorized Dealer trained technicians. 

2.  

The warranty registration card below is completed and mailed within ten (10) days of purchase. 

 

This warranty will not be extended to any products which have been subjected to misuse, neglect, accident or improper 

installation, used in violation of instructions furnished by us, or to units which have been repaired or altered outside our 

factory. 

 

This warranty is FREE for the first year, with a nominal, prearranged charge for labor, handling and shipping thereafter. 

 

The following are exclusions to this warranty: 

1.  Batteries for remote controller. 

 

2.  Authorized Dealer labor charges associated with warranty. 

3.  Accessory parts supplied by manufacturers other than AST.
