Overview
This carbon monoxide (CO) alarm is a detection and alarm device which gives off an
audible and visual warning when it detects the presence of carbon monoxide at certain
levels over time.
Carbon monoxide is a colourless, odourless, tasteless gas produced during inefficient or
incomplete burning of fuels such as wood, coal, oil, and gas. The human body is unable
to sense carbon monoxide in any way, and it can be generated by a variety of household
appliances such as fireplaces, boilers, and gas cookers. An electronic carbon monoxide
alarm is the only way to be warned of the presence of this deadly gas in the home.
