CS-MOUNT AUTO-IRIS DC-TYPE LENSES

Please read this instruction manual carefully  before using
your Ultrak lens in order to avoid any mistakes.

This instruction manual is common for all DC-type, auto-iris
lenses made for 1/2” and 1/3” image formats. The manual
covers the following lenses:

WARNING: 

These 1/3" format lenses are designed for CS-

mount cameras only and, therefore, cannot be used for C-
mount cameras.

DC-TYPE, AUTO-IRIS MECHANISM

This lens does not have a built-in amplifier for auto-iris
control.  The iris blade on the lens is being operated by DC
from the camera.

Please use this lens in combination with a camera that has
a built-in auto iris amplifier (DC-iris) or a camera that is
switchable between video signal and DC-iris.

VARI-FOCAL LENS

This lens has two (2) focal distances at 3.5mm and 8.0mm.
The change of 3.5mm to 8.0mm can be done by zooming
in or out.  If you want to focus in at a position between
3.5mm and 8mm, you must re-focus the lens.

CABLE CONNECTION OF LENS CONNECTOR

The following configuration is common for mono-focal and
vari-focal lenses.  If a bad connection occurs, both the lens
and camera may malfunction and breakdown.  As a result,
please follow the diagram in Figure 1 below very carefully.
