Battery Shutdown Mode
Shutdown mode helps to preserve battery integrity. There are two circumstances under which the battery will enter
shutdown mode. One happens automatically, while the other occurs only if the
Operator
deliberately intervenes:
• automatically: if an
Alert Level 1
is ignored and the system is not plugged in to recharge but instead is allowed
to countdown the 120 seconds and automatically shut itself down
•
Operator
intervention: if the
F (FUNCTION)
button is pressed (and held for 5 seconds).
3.3.8.1 Sending the Battery into Shutdown Mode
To Send the Battery into Shutdown Mode:
1.
Power down the system.
2.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
3.
Press and hold the
F
(
FUNCTION
) button for 5 seconds (all lights on the control panel will go out).
3.3.8.2 Rebooting the Battery
To Reboot the Battery:
1.
Power off the system.
2.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
3.
Press and hold the battery
F
(
FUNCTION
) button for 5 seconds (all lights on the control panel will go out).
4.
Wait five seconds, then plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
5.
Turn on the system.

Transducer Inspection
To Inspect the Transducers Prior to Connection:
1.
Unpack each transducer and inspect for damage (e.g., cracks in the case or bent pins).
2.
Note the model and serial numbers of any damaged transducers and report them to Ultrasonix.
3.
Ensure that all transducers can be connected to each connection port.
Note:
Proper use of the system will ensure this circumstance never arises (refer to Battery Use Model in
Chapter 2 of the current
SonixOne Q+ User Manual)
.
Note:
Ultrasonix recommends this option whenever the system is:
• powered down
• unplugged
• stored for more than 24 hours (
