Checking the flow switch

Does the water flow rate meet the requirements of the electron
beam gun?

Is the flow switch adjusted in such a way that switch contact is
switched OFF when the minimum rate of water specified for the
electron beam gun flows?

Is the flow switch connected to the electron beam gun power
supply?

Is the float free from iron power?

Does the hearth rotate smoothly?

Is the height of the shutter appropriate?
CAUTION
The shutter must be located at least 70 mm above the top of the crucible.

Is the crucible visible through the view port?

Are the terminals on the high voltage feedthrough covered for safety?

Is the electron beam gun power unit wired correctly?

Never operate EB GUN without wiring of a ground cable. For wiring of a
ground cable, read the EB power supply instruction manual carefully.
WARNING
Never operate EB GUN with short-circuiting of interlock.
