1 Does the electron beam gun flow
switch turn ON and OFF at the
specified flow rate? Here, does
the GUN WATER indicator turn
ON and OFF?
See
Note 1.
2 Does the CHAMBER indicator
light when the chamber is closed?
3 Does the VACUUM indicator light
when the chamber pressure has
lowered to below the preset value?
4 Is the electron beam gun insulator
contaminated or cracked and need
to be replaced?
See
Note 2.
5 Is the electron beam gun filament
worn out or deformed and need to
be replaced?
See
Note 2.
6 Is the electron beam gun filament
lead worn out by sputtering? Is
the filament lead connected firmly?
See
Note 3.
7 Is the lead of the electron beam gun
filament away from the filament by
more than 20 mm?
Is there short-circuit or broken wire
at the connection? Use care
especially after filament change.
See
Note 4.
8 Is the gun shield in the chamber
away from the filament by more
than 15 mm? (Use special care
when the filament is replaced.)
