Patient mobilization helper (optional)
Bed is equipped with patient mobilization helper which operates with a release handle located under the sleep
surface.
WARNING
• Always ensure that patient is capable of proper usage of the patient mobilization helper.
ATTENTION
• Patient monitoring and patient-authorized bed functionalities are the responsibility of the facility.
•
A click confirms a patient mobilization helper in locked position.
IMPORTANT
If applicable, ensure that mattress handles are placed under the mattress and do not interfere with patient
mobilization helper mechanism.
Raise a patient mobilization helper :
1. Grasp the upper center of the patient mobilization helper and pull up until it latches into the locked position:
a click will be heard.
2. Verify that patient mobilzation helper is properly locked by doing a head to feet movement.
Lower a patient mobilization helper :
1. Grasp the upper center of the patient mobilization helper; with second hand, pull the handle up and rotate
downward.
2. Patient mobilization helper will be below the mattress surface.
Patient control (optional)
Patient control can be used to allow patient or healthcare personel to activate certain bed functions. Do not
use sharp or small pointed objects on membranes to avoid permanent damages. Pictograms inform the user of
positioning possibilities and features. Patient control can be plugegd in “MJB” junction box or in optional patient
control connectors. Refer to section
Removable control 2 functions
(page 70) for plugging instructions.
IMPORTANT
Refer to the
pictograms and definitions
section (page 13) to support identification.
The control lock from the footboard control, if applicable, will lock the functions of the patient control.
