Patient helper - 299-0100
The patient helper, model 299-0100, is designed to be used with the ook-snow ALL bed only and is intended to
provide support to the patient for repositioning when in bed. It is not designed to support patient when getting in
or out of bed. The maximum load capacity of the patient helper is 300 lb/136 kg.
WARNING
• The maximum load capacity of the patient helper is 300 lb/136 kg.
• Ensure that no load is applied on the patient helper when placed in storage position, at a 90
o
angle. If not
avoided, the weight applied on the patient helper could tilt the bed over, resulting in severe to moderate
injuries and damages to environment and/or product.
• The patient helper is not designed to support patient when getting in or out of bed. Abusive usage could
result in bed tipping over and could result in moderate to severe injuries and damages to product and/or
environment.
• Ensure equipement on bed does not come in contact
with ceiling or ceiling lights.
Installation:
1. Insert the lower section into both 1 1/2" sockets located at
head end. The plunger on the lower section of the patient
helper must be on the outside of the bed.
2. Ensure it correctly and completely slides into sockets. If
not, slightly move/slide the right leg of the patient helper
from left to right to help insert in the socket. Secure with
the pin.
3. Pull the plunger located on the lower section and insert
the upper section.
4. Release plunger. Ensure upper section is properly locked
and secured in place.
ATTENTION
• Ensure the plunger located on the lower section is properly secured to
the upper section when installed. If not, the upper section of the patient
helper could rotate and situation could result in minor to moderate
injuries and damages to product and/or environment.
Operation:
1. Ensure patient helper is properly fixed.
2. To adjust the position of the patient helper, pull the plunger located on the
upper section.
3. Pivot to adjust in range of 30
o
on left side and 30
o
on right side. Release
plunger.
4. To adjust the height of the patient helper handle, shorten or lengthen the strap.
5. Ensure the handle is properly attached to upper section.
6. Store when not in use.
