Patient siderail controls
Patient siderail controls
are located on the inside of each head siderail. Do not use sharp or small pointed objects
on membranes to avoid permanent damages. Pictograms inform the user of positioning possibilities and features.
ATTENTION
• If the siderail pads accessories are installed on the head end siderails, ensure to properly lock the patient
siderails controls. If not avoided, the hidden controls can still function and the bed’s sleep surface adjustment
can be modified if the motion controls are inadvertently activated. Refer to the
Standard configuration
in the
Headboard and footboard
section for the lockout procedure (page 46).
IMPORTANT
Refer to the
pictograms and definitions
section (page 15) to support identification.
Standard configuration
The UP/DOWN press buttons offer motion of backrest
section form 0 degree to 60 degrees. The UP/DOWN
press buttons offer motion of thigh and foot sections.
Motion can be simultaneous.
To activate:
1. Press and hold button.
2. Release button when the required position is reached.
Patient control with optional features
In addition of standard configuration, press buttons
offer back lighted patient controls, possibility for the
patient to turn ON or OFF the nightlights and possibility
for the patient to send a call to the nurse station.
To use optional features:
• Press the light bulb button to turn ON back
lighted controls and press again to turn OFF.
• On a bed with bed exit detection without display screen with backlight option, press and hold the light bulb
button for 3 seconds to turn ON or OFF the nightlights.
• Press nurse call button to send signal to nurse call communication system and station. Nurse call button
pictogram may be represented by a white cross on red background or by a white bell on red background.
