USER MANUAL — 74-36121-ENG R2
• Connecting electrical equipment to the auxiliary outlet (optional) effectively leads to creating a medical
electrical system, and can result in a reduced level of safety.
• Always ensure proper product clearance in order to reach all the different device controls, boards,
accessories and electrical connections. In case of emergency, these systems should be easily reachable
to ensure timely procedure.
• Always ensure to unplug any device from the auxiliary outlet (optional) prior to moving bed. If situation is
not avoided, damages to bed and/or to environment could occur.
• Always unplug battery harness if bed is intended to be stored for 3 months or longer. If not avoided,
situation could result in an accelerated deterioration of the batteries.
• Always ensure to remove the key from the motion key lock switch after the switch is activated or deactivated.
If situation is not avoided, the key may get copied by unauthorized people or may get lost, resulting in
inefficient key access control. Damages may also occur to the key or switch in case of impact, which may
result in potentially inoperative bed functions.
• Bed, parts and accessories are not designed for a cleaning with usage of a hose, steam or ultrasounds.
Do not immerse any part of the bed. If not avoided, situation could result in permanent damages to bed.
• This bed is not designed nor intended for a magnetic resonance imaging use. Use in intended environments
only.
• Patient must always be out of the bed during the zeroing procedure.
• A zeroing procedure must be performed each time new accessories are installed or removed from the bed,
or each time a new patient is admitted in the bed. Failure to perform the zeroing, or a zeroing that is not
performed correctly, may render the bed exit detection system non-functional and increase the risk of a
patient fall.
•
No modification to this equipment is allowed unless it is first approved by the manufacturer, performed by
trained personnel, and then inspected and tested to ensure its continued safety.
• If a replacement is required, always use original new parts supplied by manufacturer. If not avoided,
situation could generate adverse effects and could affect the warranty.
• The organization responsible for usage and for maintenance of a medical electrical system shall ensure
that the equipments connected on the auxiliary power outlet are conforming to the electrical specifications
like, but not limited to, power drawn, leakage currents or electromagnetic compliance for electromedical
systems (IEC60601-1; 2005).
• This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules and RSS-102 requirements. This device may not
cause harmful interference, and this device must accept any interference received, including interference
that may cause undesired operation.
IMPORTANT
Words LEFT and RIGHT used in this manual refer to the left and right sides of the patient while laying on his back.
