Working Inside Your Computer

You can expand your computer’s storage capabilities, performance,
and flexibility by adding additional drives and expansion (graphics)
cards inside your computer.

You can have these items installed by a
qualified service provider. The instructions in this appendix explain
the procedures for installation.
However, attempts to perform such
work yourself may void certain warranties otherwise available to you.
Removing and Replacing the Cover and Front Panels
Before you can work inside your computer, you have to get inside your
computer.
To remove the cover from the computer:
1.
Turn off your computer, but leave it plugged in to
ensure that the computer is properly grounded.
2.
Loosen the large thumb-screw on the back of the com-
puter.
