3 OVERHEAD GUARD
Check the overhead guard for loose mounting bolts or nuts or for
damage.
Open right and left side panels and engine hood
4 BRAKE OIL LEVEL
CAUTION
•
Do not mix non-mineral brake oil with mineral brake oil;
otherwise the brake will fail to operate normally.
•
Use specified brake oil.
BRAKE OIL TANK
You can check the brake oil level from outside the tank in the
engine room, without having to remove the tank cap. Make sure
the oil level is as specified.
5 COOLING WATER LEVEL
COOLING
WATER TANK
Check the cooling water level in the cooling water tank. Make sure
the level is between the “FULL” and “LOW” markings on the tank.
Usually, you can check the cooling water level without removing
the radiator cap, but removing the radiator cap is needed for any
reason, such as for adding cooling water, observe the following
conditions:
Removing radiator cap
CAUTION
Do not try to remove the radiator cap when the engine is
hot; otherwise you might get burnt. The cooling water level
should be checked before starting the engine or when the
engine is cold.

Release the pressure before removing the cap
There is a pressure inside the radiator. First, loosen the cap by
turning it counterclockwise a little to release the pressure, then
remove the cap.
