Basic Troubleshooting
1.Basic Software Troubleshooting
1-1.If your Voice Pager Console is unable to connect to
the Internet, it may be necessary to troubleshoot
the network connection, the network may not
work if any of below reasons:
a.Repeated IP address between your computer and
the Voice Pager Console
Solution-In this scenario, you are using the same
TCP / IP address between the computer and the
Voice Pager Console which resulting the com-
puter links to itself. Please ping the computer’s
IP address, confirming the network segment, and
manually assign another IP address in the same
network segment.
For example, the computer’s IP address is :
192.168.1.0 after pinging, you can assign another
IP address:192.168.1.X. After reassigning IP ad-
dress, please try to connect to Voice Pager Con-
sole again.
b.Network card not connected properly
Solution-Please verify the WAN / LAN LED. The
WAN / LAN LED will flash green when the opera-
tion status is normal.
c.Firewall Preventing your computer’s connection to
Voice Pager Console
Solution-If your computer which is connecting
with Voice Pager Console utilizes a firewall, en-
sure that all ports required are open. We suggest
that close the firewall software temporarily for en-
suring this is not causing the problem.
Above are the possible software root causes of unable
to connect to Internet: Operating system, network con-
figurations. If the Voice Pager Console is connected to a
company or a large network, it is recommended that if
you’re unable to resolve the connection issue that con-
tacting the network administrator.
2.Basic Hardware Troubleshooting
2-1.If there’s any hardware issues of Uni Voice Pager
Console, please do as following steps:
a.Check all the LED. The Voice Pager Console’s
hardware’s operating status will be displayed
through the LED indicators. Under normal situ-
ation, the LEDs will flash green, in contrary, the
LEDs flash red when there’s error detected.
b.If the error that you can’t distinguish by the LEDs
of front panel, we recommend that you connect
with the local distributor for further information.
