8.4 KVM Server
8.4.1 KVM Server Log
The Server Log keeps detailed records of events, errors, user logins and logouts, video modes, etc. It also
records each login attempt, even for an unsuccessful one. It provides various technical details such as
compression ratio, encoding scheme, and bytes transmitted. In this page you can clear the log content by
clicking the
Clear
button. Note that the server log will be forcibly erased each time you perform a reboot
remotely by clicking the
Reboot Device
button in
Maintenance
(Menu) -->
Reboot
(Menu item) or when
KLE-Z suffers a power loss. Once the log file reaches its maximum size, oldest data will be erased to give
room for new data.
Each log entry is composed of the date plus time stamp, and the description of the event. The first letter
"K", "H" or "U" respectively represents whether the message comes from the KVM server, the HTTP
server, or the USB server in the KLE-Z.
8.4.2 Video Capture Settings
Please note that the digital video capture has been automatically set with optimal quality and speed
and not adjustable by users.
Most of these settings here only apply to VGA analog signal. The goal here is to balance between the
Video Quality and the Data Volume. Higher video quality generates larger data volume which increases
the video transmission time. Please try to find out an optimal tradeoff between video quality and speed
especially in slow Internet connection.
