If your base has an answerng system, you can lsten to callers
as they leave a message. Press
[
/Mute]
when the system s
answerng to lsten to the caller wthout answerng the phone.
Maintenance
Battery Life
Wth average use, your battery talk tme wll be approxmately
ten hours and standby tme wll be approxmately seven days.
For optmum performance, be sure to return the handset to the
cradle after each call. If the handset s left off of the cradle, the
actual talk tme duraton wll be reduced respectve to the amount
of tme the handset s off the cradle.
Note: Do not place the power cord where it creates a trip hazard
or where it could become chafed and create a fire or
electrical hazard.
Low Battery Alert
When the battery pack s very low, the dsplay shows LOW
BATTERY and the empty battery con. If the phone s n standby,
none of the keys wll operate. If you are on a call, complete your
conversaton as quckly as possble, and return the handset to
the cradle.
Battery Replacement and Handling
Wth normal usage, your battery should last about one year.
If the talk tme becomes short even after the battery s recharged,
please replace the battery. You can purchase a replacement
battery by callng Unden's Parts department. See nsde the
back cover page for contact nformaton.
Warning:
To avoid the risk of personal injury or property damage from fire or
electrical shock, use only the BT-1008 battery pack.
