- Do not attempt to service this device yourself, as opening or
removing covers voids the warranty and may expose you to dangerous voltage
or other hazards. Visit our website at www.uniden.com for servicing assistance.

Conditions Requiring Service -
Unplug this device from the wall outlet and
contact Uniden customer care specialists under the following conditions:

When the power supply cord or plug is damaged.
• If liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the device.
•
If the device has been exposed to rain or water.
•
If the device has been dropped or the case has been damaged.
•
If the device does not operate normally by following the operating
instructions. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating
instructions. Improper adjustment of other controls may void the warranty,
resulting in costly repairs or replacement.
•
When the
device
exhibits a distinct change in performance.
3.
Replacement Parts -
Use only replacement parts verified by Uniden customer
care specialists to have the same safety characteristics as the original parts.
Use Uniden-specified replacement parts to prevent fire, electric shock, or other
hazards.
MAINTENANCE
1.
Cleaning
- Unplug the device from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use
liq uid or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
2.
Object and Liquid Entry
- Never push objects of any kind into this device
through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or “short-out”
parts that could cause a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on
the device.
3.
Lightning
- For added protection during a lightning storm, or when it is left
unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet
and disconnect cables and other cords. This will prevent damage due to
lightning and power line surges.
