pLAN NETWORK CONNECTION
Case “A”
In this diagram a pLan connection is shown between units with their own private UG40/MP40 local user terminal
and a shared UTS01 remote user terminal. Connection to the UTS01 terminal is made through the J11 terminal of
the board of the first unit together with the network, making sure that the indicated polarities are respected. The
shielded cable is connected to the casing of the first unit, while for the other units the shielded cable is connected
between each unit.
Case “B”
In this diagram a pLan connection is shown between units with their own private UTS01 local user terminal and a
shared UTS01 remote user terminal. Connection to the private UTS01 terminal is made through a J11 terminal of
the board of each unit, making sure that the indicated polarities are respected. While the PLan network between
the units and connection to the shared remote terminal is made through the terminal of the telephonic shunt in the
“T” position in each unit. Connection between the board and the “T” telephonic connection is made through a 6-way
telephone cable. The shielded cable is connected to the casing of the first unit, while for the other units the shielded
cable is connected between each unit. For the local terminals however, the shielded cable is connected individually
to each unit.
