1. Racking Mounting Ears -

Two front panel mounting holes are provided

on each mounting ear.

2. Fan Inlet Grills and Filter -

DCA Series amplifiers are cooled by two

rear mounted fans. Cool air from front grills is filtered and flows over the
heatsinks and exhausts to back side. Make sure these outlets remain
clear to allow unrestricted air flow.

3. AC Power Switch -

DCA Series amplifiers have a front-panel AC mains

power switch.

4. Limiter Switch (DCA-1300 only) -

This is used to activate the

channel's built-in limiter. The limiter reduces the average output level
when the signal begins to distort, this process is designed to reduce
distortion and protect the speakers. See limiter page 14.

5. Signal Indicator -

Illuminates to indicate that a signal (above a

minimum threshold) is present at the amplifier input, and that the signal
is being amplified.

6. Clip Indicator -

This red LED will begin to flash when the channel

begins to overload (clip), at this point the channel will begin to distort.
Under heavy clipping activity, lower the channel's gain control to reduce
the risk of damage to your speakers and amplifier. This LED may glow
when the unit has been turned off, this is normal.

7. Protect Indicator -

The red Protect LED will begin to glow when the

channel goes into protect mode. When the channel goes into protect
mode all output for that channel will turn off. This is to protect any
speakers connected to the channel.

8. Gain Control -

This rotary knob is used to control the output signal level

of the channel. Turning the knob in a clockwise direction will increase
output signal level.

9. Power Indicator -

These yellow LEDs will glow when mains power is

applied to the unit. These lights may continue to glow briefly after mains
power has been turned off, this is normal.
