BATTERY INSTALLATION
To replace the batteries, use a cross-
head screwdriver to unlock the battery
compartment on the base of the torch.
Ensure that only batteries of the type
specified below are used. Replace
batteries taking note of the polarity
markings. Then ensure that the battery
compartment is closed securely.
SAFETY WARNING - Do not attempt to
open in hazardous locations.

DO NOT OPEN THIS DEVICE IN HAZARDOUS LOCATIONS.
Only use the battery brands mentioned in these instructions.
This torch has not been tested with rechargeable batteries, therefore we do not advise using
rechargeable batteries as it may not be safe.
Always use high-quality Alkaline 1.5v AA batteries.
Disposable battery life is affected by different battery brands, different ambient temperatures and
different lighting modes. To reduce the RISK OF EXPLOSION do not mix new batteries with used
batteries, or mix different battery brands.
If not using the torch for 3 weeks or more, be sure to remove the disposable batteries to avoid
battery leakage. Battery leaks are not covered under warranty.
Protect batteries from heat, intense sunlight, fire, water and moisture. If a battery is damaged, fluids
can leak out. AVOID contact as this can lead to skin irritation and/or burns. If skin contact occurs,
rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, seek medical advice.
Do not look directly at the LED or shine directly in other peoples eyes.
The LED will become warm when switched on; do not touch and do not place face down on any
surface – risk of fire!
Do not use the device if there is any visible damage to the housing, lens or switch. Check for any
damage before each use.
This product is water resistant to IPX4 – DO NOT SUBMERGE. If the product has been affected by
excessive damp or moisture, remove the batteries and leave the unit open and allow to dry out
completely before using.
If the batteries are installed and the device does not work, try checking for the following: (1) Press
the switch button several times. (2) Check that the batteries are inserted the correct way around
according to polarity markings. (3) Check there is no debris on the contacts that might affect the
battery connection. (4) Check there is no water or dampness in the unit, if so, allow it to fully dry
out and try again.
If the product has been subjected to excessive water the warranty may be void.
This product has a 1 year standard warranty (or extended 2 years once registered online at WWW.
UNILITE.CO.UK/WARRANTY) against manufacturing faults and defects. It does not cover normal
wear and tear, modifications, accidental damage or poor maintenance. Unilite warranties do not
cover battery leaks.
Take care not to let the lens come into contact with hard/sharp objects, damage to the lens will
affect light output.
Children under 12 years of age should only use the product with adult supervision.
Do not disassemble or attempt to modify the product, this will void the warranty and can impair the
intrinsic safety and can be dangerous. Improper use or modification is not covered under warranty.
Do not dispose of this device in normal household waste. It must be disposed of via an authorised
disposal centre or at your local waste disposal unit.
Please re-use or recycle packaging where possible.
Keep these instructions for future reference or for subsequent possessors.
