7.8 Opening Level 2
There are two levels or pages within HouseMate. This feature expands the
number of possible Infra-red commands and associated prompts to 20. Each
button has a different command depending on what level you are on. Level 1
could be used for TV commands whilst level 2 could be used for House
commands such as lights, sockets, speakerphone etc.
When Level 2 is open Button 1 or Button 2 will blink to give the user a visual
queue as to what level they are using. HouseMate stops doing this once you start
scanning or pressing buttons but if no buttons are pressed for a few seconds it
will return to blinking the current level.
The Level 2 setting can be set to three values: Closed, Open
– use Button 0,
Open
– use Switches. When level 2 is opened it can be accessed in the following
different ways:
Open

use Button 0
You can switch between levels either by pressing Button 0 or by selecting Button
0 when scanning by pressing the Switch 1.
Open
–
use External Switches
With this advanced option how you switch between levels depends on what
Scanning Method you are using:
Automatic Scanning
When the scanning has stopped and the level light it is blinking press and
hold Switch 1 to change the level.
OR
Press Switch 2 at any time to change the level.
Short Click Scanning.
When the level light is blinking press and hold Switch 1 to change the
level.
OR
Press Switch 2 at any time to change the level.
Two Switch Scanning
In Two Switch Scanning you can only use Switch 1. When the level light is
blinking press Switch 1 to change the level.
