MAINTENANCE

C

LEANING

SulfiLogger™ sensors installed in wastewater environments may require regular cleaning depending on the
fouling conditions. To clean the sensor, remove any accumulated rags and gently wipe the sensor head with
a cloth. Use water or a mild soap if needed. For more information, please see page 7.

C

ALIBRATION

The SulfiLogger™ sensor is factory calibrated and is as such ready to use right out of the box. It is recom-

mended to calibrate the sensor before installation and then subsequently once every month to maintain
accuracy. The calibration should be performed at your measurement location and takes approx. 5 - 10
minutes. To calibrate the sensor you must use a SulfiLogger™ calibration kit consisting of a calibration gas
bottle, a flow regulator and a calibration cap. During calibration, you should avoid orienting the sensor with
the sensor tip pointing upwards. If the sensor is installed using a flow cell, please detach the sensor from the
flow cell before starting the calibration. If needed replace the O-ring on the sensor before re-installation.

1. Verify that the pressure gauge on the flow regulator reads at least 5 bar. Make sure that the range

and concentration on the calibration gas bottle and on the sensor is the same.

2. Attach the calibration cap to the sensor head and make sure to align the arrow on the calibration cap

with the position of the sensor’s indicator light. The sensor has successfully entered its calibration

mode when the indicator light switches to a pattern of alternating red and green flashes.

3. Fully open the regulator valve and wait for the calibration to complete.

4. When the calibration has completed, the indicator light will change to a pattern of continuous green

flashes if the calibration has succeeded or continuous red flashes if it has failed. In either case, close
the regulator valve (5) and remove the calibration cap from the sensor (6).
