SAFETY NOTICES
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
•
The kettle may only be used for the purpose mentioned in these instructions. Therefore read these
instructions carefully. They contain important notices for the use, cleaning and maintenance.
•
In case of non-observance of these instructions manual no liability will be taken for the possible
damages.
•
Keep these instructions manual in a safe place and transfer them to a possible succeeding user.
•
The appliance is not designed for commercial purposes.
•
You should follow all the important instructions for the safety. They should be observed, otherwise
you might get injured or the appliance might get damaged.
•
The original packing is specially created in order to have a safe transport in case of service.
Therefore keep the packing at least up to the end of the guarantee period.
•
Only connect the appliance to a correctly installed earthed socket. The voltage must comply with
the indication on the rating plate at the bottom of the appliance (220-240 V, 50 Hz).
•
Do not pull the Power Cord (6) over sharp edges or jam the Cord (6), and protect it from sharp
edges, moister, heat or oil. Do not connect the appliance if the Power Cord (6) is damaged. It must
be replaced by the authorized service agent or by a person having similar qualifications.
Substantial, dangers for the user can appear from inappropriate repairs.
•
Only use the kettle with the Base (5) included (vise versa).
•
Do not use the appliance or unplug it immediately when it is damaged or leaking or when any
defects occur after the appliance has accidentally dropped or something similar is suspected. In
these cases have the appliance repaired.
•
Do not place the kettle onto hot surfaces, e. g. hot plate etc. or near an open gas flame, the hous-
ing might melt. Surfaces sensitive to water are not suitable as they might be damaged by water
splashes.
•
Pay attention that children do not have the opportunity to play with the appliance.
•
Scalding danger due to hot water and steam. If the appliance is overfilled, operating with the
opened Lid (1) if you pull in the Power Cord (6) during the operation, boiling water might splash.
Only tough the hot kettle at the Handle (2) and do not open the Lid (1) when pouring out.
•
If the kettle is not used for a longer time, you should empty it completely and unplug it.
•
Do not open the Lid (1) while the water is boiling.
•
Take care when pouring – pour slowly, and do not overtilt the kettle.
•
Water can remain hot for a considerable time after boiling and can present a scald hazard. Keep
the kettle, the Base (5) and the Power Cord (6) away from the edge of worktops and out of the
reach of children.
•
Do not allow the Power Cord (6) to hang over the edge of the table or worktop or any where it may
be accidentally caught or tripped over.
