Operating and safety instructions
Read the following instructions very carefully before using the lantern.
Read the instructions and safety rule very carefully before you charge the battery. Only use the
recommended adapter to charge the battery. Do not charge batteries of a different type with this
adapter. Use the adapter only in a dry environment at a temperature between 10°C and 40°C. Do
not use the adapter if it is damaged. Never charge the battery longer than the given charging
period. Avoid short circuit of the battery. Make sure that the connections of the battery do not
make contact with metal objects or moisture. Do not store the lantern in places where the tem-
perature may exceed 50°C, e.g. in a car parked in full sunlight. Do not burn the lantern. Never try
open the battery. Should battery liquid touch the skin, immediately rinse the skin with a large
quantity of water. Neutralise the liquid with a weak acid like vinegar or lemon juice. Should the
battery liquid come into the eyes with running water during at least 10 minutes and immediately
consult a doctor.
Check if the voltage indicated on the data plate of the mains adapter is in accordance with the
mains voltage available on site.
Charge the battery prior to initial use. Turn the lantern on and off with the switch.
Charging the battery with the 230 V adapter
Insert the plug of the adapter into the socket of the lantern. Insert the adapter into the socket.
Charging the battery with the 12 V plug
Insert the small plug into the floodlight socket. Insert the lighter plug into the cigarette lighter
socket. Do not charge while driving.
The lens gets very hot during operation. It has been designed for intermittent use only.
Continuous use is strongly advised against and may cause damage to the unit. Never block the
lens or the reflector during operation. Do not shine directly into somebody‘s eyes. Before clea-
ning the lantern or carrying out other activities, switch off and unplug the unit and let it cool
down in order to prevent the risk of electric shocks. Disconnect the charging cable. Always
replace the bulb by a bulb with the same rating in order to prevent irreparable damage.
1. Unscrew and remove cap counter-clockwise and take off the glass cover
2. Pull the reflector out of the housing and remove the wire securing the lamp socket
3. Slightly unscrew the two lower screws of the power cable connection and bend open the two
wire pins of the lamp socket
4. Pull the lamp with the wire pins up and out
Proceed in reverse order to install the light bulb.
Make sure that the battery is always full. Recharge it immediately after use. The battery should
be charged every 3 months, even if the halogen lantern is not used in this period.

If, with the lapse of time, the halogen lantern must be replaced, do not throw it into the
dustbin, but dispose of it in an environment-friendly way.
1. Unscrew and remove cap counter-clockwise and take off the glass cover
2. Pull the reflector out of the housing, loosen all the screws and pull off the plug.
3. Remove the battery and dispose of in a special waste collection
