The Wash Select II multi-unit fleet upgrade feature enables the sharing of fleet accounts
generated at the PRIMARY unit for use at any bay in your system, including the PRIMARY.
Without this option, when there is more than one Wash Select II at a self-serve car wash, one
cannot share fleet accounts; a fleet account opened at a given bay can only be used at that
bay. The multi-unit fleet link enables you to share fleet accounts opened at the Master unit
with any other bay, and does it without the need for a POS4000.
The existing RS485 port, currently in use to communicate to the POS4000, will be utilized for
communication among multiple Wash Select II units.
Here are some points worth noting.
Transaction accounting
records are NOT shared. Only the
Fleet Account
information will be shared. You must generate accounting reports from each bay.
Up to
6
Wash Select II units can be linked together.
Unit 1 will be the
Primary
.
Units 2-6 (bays 2-6) will be remote (secondary) units.
All
fleet account
information will be saved at
Unit 1
.
The Primary will contain a
fleet transaction history
of all bays in the “site
summary” Section. If you use a fleet account generated from the Master at a
secondary bay, this secondary bay’s accounting report will show which wash was
fired and how it was
paid for. It will not, however, show any payment in the “site
summary” Section. The Primary Wash Select II is the accounting bookkeeper for
Fleet Accounts
only. Each bay keeps its own transaction history for all other
forms of transaction accounting.
Multi-unit Fleet and POS4000 cannot work together; you can have only one.
Units may be linked via RF.
Remote units, upon accepting a fleet account from a customer, will place a
request to the Master to verify if the account in question is a multi-unit fleet.
Fleet accounts generated at a remote unit can only be used at that remote unit.
The number of “shareable” fleet accounts in a multi-unit fleet system is limited to
1000. Of course, you can have accounts generated at the individual bays, but
these accounts can only be used at that particular bay and cannot be shared with
any other bay.
Units will be wired in sequence (unit 1 will be connected to unit 2, unit 2 will be
connected to unit 3, unit 3 will be connected to unit 4, etc.)
