Get Network Info
This command is only available when the Processor Ty
pe is set to “Internet,” or in Credit
Mode 5. This command allows you to check the current network configuration of your unit
and verify communications through the modem and IPTran. When you run this command,
you will receive the IP Address, the Subnet Mask, the Gateway IP Address, and the Current
Version of the Software loaded in the IPTran.
Note:
You can obtain more accurate information by running this command and then running
the “Test Modem” command, and comparing the results.
1.
Using the toggle switch at the top of the CPU board, place the Wash Select II in
setup mode by moving the switch toward the back of the Wash Select II case.
(The CPU board is located on the inside right wall of the Wash Select II case.)
2.
Using the (3) key to scroll forward and the (1) key to scroll back, scroll through the
main menu until the "Diagnostics" option is displayed. Press the (*) key to enter.

Use the (3) key to scroll until the "Get Network Info" option is displayed. Press the
(*) key.
4.
The current IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway IP will appear in the top
three displays, respectively. The bottom display will show the Network App, which
will show the version of the software loaded in the IPTran Ethernet converter.

Note:
If the network hasn’t finished assigning IP addresses and establishing communications,
you will receive errors when you issue the test command. If you receive errors, repeat
the test. If you continue to receive errors, refer to the following sections for
troubleshooting.

Modem Loop back
This test will isolate the CPU from the modem and modem cables. The test requires a
modem loop back plug, which is available from Unitec as part of a loop back kit. Follow the
steps below to perform this test.
1.
Remove the modem cable from the CPU board. (This is connector P1, labeled
“MODEM” at the top left side of the CPU board.)
2.
Tie pin 2 to pin 3 on the modem loop back plug.
3.
Plug the modem loop back plug into connector P1.
4.
Using the toggle switch at the top of the CPU board, place the Wash Select II in
setup mode by moving the switch toward the back of the Wash Select II case.
(The CPU board is located on the inside right wall of the Wash Select II case.)
5.
Using the (3) key to scroll forward and the (1) key to scroll back, scroll through the
main menu until the "Diagnostics" option is displayed. Press the (*) key to enter.
6.
Use the (3) key to scroll until the "Modem Loop Back" option is displayed. Press
the (*) key to enter.
7.
The main display will read “Modem Idle Begin Test”. Press the (1) key to answer
yes. The loop back test will begin
