Shifting paper in the waste collector
The paper may fall unevenly into the waste collector
and trigger the sensor
on the underside of the cutter attachment
. This will cause the appliance to
stop, even though the waste collector
is not full.
The
power/bin full
LED

flashes blue and beeps.

Pull the power plug out of the power socket to prevent unintended starting
of the appliance.

Remove the cutter attachment
from the waste collector
using the
integrated carrying handles
.
♦
Even out the paper.
♦
Place the cutter attachment
onto the waste collector
using the integrated
carrying handles
so that the mains cable protrudes to the rear.
♦
Slide the
AUTO/OFF/REV
switch
!
to the
AUTO
position. The
power/
bin full
LED
-
continuously lights up blue. The appliance is now ready for
use.
Clearing a material blockage
In a paper jam, the paper is caught in the cutting blades.
During automatic feeding, the appliance will beep until the paper jam is cleared.
During manual feeding
.
, the
overheat/overload
LED

flashes red until the
paper jam has been cleared.

Slide the
AUTO/OFF/REV
switch
!
to the
REV
(reverse) position if the
material being shredded gets stuck. The appliance now goes into reverse
and the material is ejected.
The
power/bin full
LED

lights up blue continuously.

Pull the material being cut out of the appliance and then slide the
AUTO/
OFF/REV
switch
!
to
AUTO
.
The appliance is now ready for use.
Turning the appliance off
NOTE
►
Regularly remove any residue left in the cutting blades with a suitable
object (e.g. brush or tweezers). Ensure that the appliance is unplugged
before doing this!

Switch the appliance off by sliding the
AUTO/OFF/REV
switch

to the
OFF
position. The
power/bin full
LED
-
goes out.
