Port forwarding
information
A router is a device that lets you share your internet connection between multiple
computers. Most routers will not allow incoming traffic to the device unless you
have configured them to forward the necessary ports to that device. By default
our software and devices (DVRs and NVRs) require the following ports to be
forwarded:
Note: Port forwarding may reduce the security of the computers on your network.
Please contact your network administrator or a qualified network technician for
further information.
Port: 80
HTTP protocol
Used to connect via IE
browser.
Port: 8000
Client Software Port
Used to connect to video
streams.
Port: 554
RTSP Port
Real time streaming protocol.
Used to record video remotely.
Port: 1024
RTSP Port for 3G/4G
Use with mobile apps.
Used for 3G/4G connection.
Note
: It is recommended that the RTSP port 1024 should only be used when
experiencing connection issues over a 3G/4G connection.
For example
: If the client port is changed to 9000 then the +200 port will be
9200. Using the default client port 8000 then the +200 port will be 8200.
