6. ERROR CODE DEFINITIONS
There are two types of error that the keyboard is capable of displaying;
one is where the fault is local to the keyboard and the other is where the
fault is generated from the MV300 Switcher.
6.1. Communication (Local) Error
6.1.1. No Line
This occurs when there are no responses from the switcher.
At this instance, the letters
‘LinE’
will appear on the display.
This error may be due to:
i) Incorrect Baud Rate or communication speed with the
switcher.
ii) faulty I.C. (DS3696)
iii) the connecting cable to the switcher is faulty.
6.1.2. Line Error
This occurs when erroneous data are received and the
letters
‘Lerr’
will be displayed on the keyboard display.
The probable causes are:
i) Incorrect Baud Rate or communication speed with the
switcher
ii) faulty I.C. (DS3696)
iii) the connecting cable to the switcher is faulty
6.2. Operation Error
This error is associated with the MV300 Switcher. A qualified
service personnel is required for the repairing.
This fault usually arises during an operation process, whereby the
letter
‘E’
followed by an error number will be displayed. Refer to the
MV300 Switcher manual (Table 1 of Section 3.21) for definitions of
the error numbers.
