4. Place the pot on the heating base.
5. Lay the grill plate on the heating
base.
6. Now connect the power cord to
the appliance.
7. Connect the appliance via the
power cord to the power supply
(AC, 230 V~, 50 Hz).
8. The indicator lamp lights up red
and remains on as long as the
appliance is plugged into the
power supply.
9. Set the selection switch to the
desired function:
“Grill” for use of the grill function
Setting I for heating the grill
plate
Setting 0 for switching off the
grill function
10. Allow the grill plate to preheat for
about 5 minutes for optimum gril-
ling results.
11. When the required temperature
has been reached, you can start
grilling.
12. Please use only wooden or plastic
utensils for stirring and turning
food on the grill plate. Do not use
metal spoons, knives or forks.
They can scratch the grill plate.
13. For optimum grilling results, turn
the food regularly.
14. Important: When using the grill
function, never cover the appli-
ance with the lid!
15. Frozen foods should be comple-
tely thawed before grilling.
16. Do not completely cover the grill
plate with aluminum foil or other
objects that could cause the
appliance to overheat. However,
you can prepare food wrapped in
aluminum foil, such as potatoes,
on the grill plate.
17. It is possible that grease may drip
while food is being grilled. There-
fore, you should protect the table
to prevent damage to the surface
from splashing or dripping grease.
18. When you no longer need the
grill function, set the grill switch
to “O” and unplug the appliance
from the power supply.
19. Then unplug the power cord from
the appliance and allow it to cool.
CAUTION:
The appliance becomes very
hot during operation!
CLEANING AND CARE
Cleaning the appliance
Allow the appliance to
cool before cleaning it.
Before cleaning,
always turn off the appliance and unplug
it from the power supply.
1. Do not immerse the appliance
and power cord in water or other
liquids or wash them in the dish-
washer.
2. Wipe off the base with a damp
cloth and a little dishwashing
detergent. Do not use any abra-
sive scouring agents, steel wool,
metal objects, hot cleaning agents
or disinfectants, since they can
damage the appliance.
3. Clean all other parts using water
with a little dishwashing deter-
gent added.
