CAUTION:
The appliance is very hot during and after operation!
Never operate the appliance if water or other liquids are in the
grease drip pan - danger of file!
Never operate the appliance if the grease drip pan is not
inserted.
Do not open the housing of the appliance under any circum-
stances. There is danger of electric shock.
The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if
repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.
1. Remove all packaging materials
and any transport safeguards.
Keep packaging materials away
from children - danger of suffo-
cation!
2. Check whether all parts are pre-
sent. If parts are missing or dama-
ged, contact your dealer or our
customer service department.
3. Clean all parts with a damp
cloth, as described in the chapter
“Cleaning and care”.
4. Before first use, wipe off the grill
plate with a damp cloth and apply
a little vegetable oil.
5. Insert the grease drip pan and the
grill plate into the appliance.
6. Place the closed appliance on a
heat-resistant surface.
7. Connect the thermostat plug to
the socket on the appliance. Cau-
tion: Always plug the thermostat
plug into the socket on the appli-
ance first, and then plug the plug
into an electrical outlet!
8. Plug the plug into a 220-240 V~
electrical outlet and set the tem-
perature controller to the lowest
temperature.
9. Allow the appliance to heat up for
a few minutes. In this process,
ensure that the room is adequa-
tely ventilated.
10. At first use some smoke and
odours can form that will disap-
pear after a short time.
11. Now you can use the appliance.
BEFORE USING THE APPLIANCE THE FIRST TIME
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
There are five temperature settings for
the appliance. The temperature can
be set from aaprox. 90 to 210°C. The
following apply as guide values:
Low heat (level 2-3): e.g. for fish
Medium heat (level 4): Tender
meat (e.g. poultry), vegetables
High heat (level 5): Steaks
