9.
Please make sure that the water always covers the bottom of the pan. If this is
not the case, add water.
Switch off the appliance and let it cool off. Make sure that no water splashes
on the hot heating elements.
10.
Do not completely cover the grill grate with aluminium foil or other objects that
could cause the appliance to overheat.
Of course, you can use conventional
aluminium grill trays, and you can also grill food wrapped in aluminium foil,
such as potatoes.
11. The height of the grill grate can be adjusted to 2 different positions. Please
do not move the grill grate by hand as long as it is hot, since this could result
in burns. To grill in the lowest position, you have to insert the feet of the grill
grate into the holes provided. For the highest position, place the feet on the
small surface next to the hole. To adjust the grill grate while it is still hot,
always use suitable pot holders or insulated gloves.
12. Frozen foods should be completely thawed before grilling.
13. For optimum grilling results, turn the food regularly.
14. It is possible that grease may splatter while food is being grilled. Therefore,
you should protect the floor beneath the appliance to prevent damage from
splashing grease.
15. When you no longer need to grill, please set the controller to the “MIN” posi-
tion, and then unplug the appliance from the power supply.
CAUTION:
The appliance becomes very hot during operation!
GRILLING WITHOUT THE STAND
You can also use the grill without the stand. If you wish to use the grill indoors,
for safety reasons you may do so only without the stand. You may use the appli-
ance as a free-standing grill only out of doors.
For this, prepare the appliance on a suitable flat surface as described, and fit the
insert, with the correctly installed and filled water tray, and the heating element
and grill grate inserted.
Fill the water tray with at least 1.300 ml of water (max. 2.000 ml).
Never operate the grill without first filling the water tray.
