GRILLING WITHOUT THE STAND
You can also use the grill without the stand. If you wish to use the grill indoors,
for safety reasons you may do so only without the stand. You may use the appli-
ance as a free-standing grill only out of doors.
For this, prepare the appliance on a suitable flat surface as described, and fit the
insert, with the correctly installed and
filled water tray
, and the heating element
and grill plate inserted.
Fill the water tray with at least 1300 ml of water. Never operate
the grill without first filling the water tray.
Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning it.
Before cleaning, always turn off the appliance and unplug it from
the power supply.
Do not immerse the appliance and power cord in water or other
liquids.
1. Do not immerse the appliance or power cable in water or other liquids.
2. Wipe off the stand, the gridwork shelf, the grill plate, the tray surfaces and
the plastic insert with a damp cloth and a little dishwashing detergent. Do
not use any abrasive scouring agents, steel wool, metal objects, disinfect-
ants, or hot cleaning agents, since they can cause damage.
3. The water tray should be allowed to cool completely before removing it for
emptying. The grill plate can be washed in a dishwasher if required. We
recommend cleaning by hand, as aluminium can discolour in a dishwasher.
Such discolorations are not harmful to health, and are not a basis for com-
plaint.
4. The appliance must be completely dry before you use it again.
5. When completely dry, store the grill in a dry, safe place so that it is protected
from dust, impact, heat, and moisture.

Grilling times
The grilling times in the following table are to be used only as general guidelines,
since various factors are important for the grilling results, such as quality and
thickness of the food being grilled. Therefore, always keep a close watch on the
food during grilling to determine when it is done cooking.
