Adjust “S” distance as follows: screw the adjustment bolt 8 (see Figure 88) with force
until you hear a click when “B” coupling teeth skip between the gear ring 2 and the adjusting nut
3, then unscrew the bolt 8 one revolution.
When assembling the pinch clamp all internal parts should be lubricated. Before in-
stalling the cleat wedge 6, (see Figure 87, put 22-25 cm

of lubricant in the mechanism? As well
as fill it with lubricant under the protective gaskets 19.
DEA-PARAGON EP2 lubricant is used in the pinch clamp.
4.5.1.2 Brake Drum with Wheel Hub Dismantling.
If the brake lining is dig into brake
drum surface preventing it from being dismantled due to the edge appeared, and power stroke is
not enough to distance them properly, distance them manually with a screw driver (see the Opera-
tion Manual, Appendix I Spare Parts, Tools and Accessories). Through the holes (shown by ar-
rows) in the support 2, (see Figure 91,) gear members 1 rotate until dismantling of the brake drum
together with the wheel hub becomes possible.
4.5.1.3 Brake Lining Replacement
When brake linings are worn, they should be replaced according to Figure 92. Lining
wear degree is determined by wear indicator. To ensure tight adherence of a brake lining to the
pad it is recommended to peen rivets from central holes of the brake lining as shown in View B
(1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8).
If the brake linings are oily, wash them in petrol.
4.5.1.4 Primary brake adjustment
after replacement of brake pads or friction linings
When assembling the primary brake (see Figure 93) brake pad 1 axes should be initially
installed with marks toward each other, brake pads with brake linings 2 should be installed with
distance between seats equal to 166
+0.2
mm (see Figure 92), the wedge mechanism should be in-
stalled according to Figures 90 and 86 (View C). Distance between support outer diameter and
brake linings (A and B) should not exceed 0.75 mm, difference between the distances A and B
should not exceed 0.2 mm. If the difference between distances A and B exceeds the allowable
value, adjust it by brake pad axes.
