To maintain truck storage batteries without removal:
- switch off storage batteries from the truck power line trough battery switch;
- remove snap ring 14 of the lid 6 locks and open the locks;
- lift the lid 6 up and throw it on the bracket 3. Make sure that lid 6 is securely fixed in
horizontal position;
- loosen wire fixation and the strap between the storage batteries, preliminary removing
battery terminal protective housings, if any;
- remove the front cam dog 4 from the container 10 lifting one end of the cam dog 4 un-
til it goes out the reinforcement 5;
- remove upper clamps 13 from the container 10. If the clamp is locked between the bat-
tery 1 and rear folding wedge, use a screw driver or a drift pin to remove the clamp by inserting
the screw driver or the drift pin into the hole located on the clamp end;
- move the batteries to the container flap 6.
To remove the storage batteries from the truck, do the described operations in the same
sequence except the one: flap 6 should be removed from the container, do not loosen the wires,
but disconnect from battery terminals. By moving the batteries to the bracket 3 one by one, re-
move them from the truck.
When moving the batteries 1 from the container 10 to the bracket 3 and when re-
moving them from the truck, take measures not to drop unfixed battery.
Install the batteries to the truck and fasten them in the reverse order.
Check that the upper clamps were installed into the guiding members 11. Otherwise, the
clamp 13 will not couple with the cam dogs 9 and 12, and the battery will not be fastened, that can
lead to their damage. Do not deform the guiding members 11 when the battery is being installed
and fastened.
When installing and fastening the battery, do not pinch and bend wires to the stator and
battery switch, do not bend caps, as well as destroying contacts of wires with container metal
parts.
After installing the batteries to the truck, adjust the front folding edges 9 position, to do
that loosen the bolts 8 of cam dogs 9 fastening to the flap 6, move the cam dogs 9 along the oval
holes of the flap 6 from yourself against stop, and fasten the bolts 8. Adjust the position of front
cam dogs 9 on the closed flap 6 of the container 10 after the batteries 1 and upper clamps 13 are
installed in the container.

To dismantle the storage batteries also:
- unscrew the nut 6 and dismantle the locking plate 7;
