Figure 159 – Plan of Loading and Fastening of Trucks on Four-Axle Platforms (for 4x4 Trucks)
In every separate case, negotiate the transportation terms and conditions with the
communication dispatch station.
9.1.2 Upon truck transportation by air
the preparatory works shall be implemented
and the cushioning by the special tools, which are manufactured and delivered by the
consignor, shall be additionally turned off. The cushioning switch framework shall exclude
their falling out during vibrations and the chosen material – crumpling, what could lead to
loosening of the truck.
Fuel tanks of the truck fill to half of their container. Load and fasten the truck
according to special schemes.
9.1.3 Upon truck transportation by water transport
load the truck without cargo
in the cargo space.
Loading, placement and fastening of the truck with devices installed on the
undercarriage are provided in the operation manual of the device.
Trucks are transported by sea vessels in all cargo spaces (holds, tween-decks). The
trucks transportation is implemented on the upper deck with the consent of the consignor.
Arrange trucks in the hold and on the deck so that the distance between them is no
less than 250 mm on the side of the heat radiator and no less than 130 mm on other sides.
After the truck placement on the vessel, implement the preparatory works, fasten the
truck in order to prevent fore-and-aft and lateral displacement with the special mooring device,
present on the vessel, or with strut braces. Strain the strut braces, wrenching of threads with
crowbars, until the secure mounting of the truck is provided. Loosening of strut braces or
separate threads is not allowed.
Fasten strut braces to front towing hooks or pivot axles, the equalizing beam
suspension axle and the towing device. Variants of fastening are shown in figures 160 and 161.
Fasten strut braces on the long-haul trucks and bus trucks to the equalizing beam
suspension axle. Mooring devices or strut braces are not allowed to touch the truck tires.
Establish brake shoes under truck wheels upon lateral placement on the vessel.
